About the role
You will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the branch including sales, inventory management, merchandising, health & safety and maintaining retail excellence standards & procedures. You will also be responsible for collaborating with the Sales Liaison Manager in your area to drive performance, achieve targets while delivering the highest standards of goods and services to our suppliers & customers.
Key responsibilities
1. Analyze Sales performance of categories within the store so that targets and KPI's are met and exceeded.
2. Lead and motivate the team while ensuring all training requirements are met.
3. Liaise daily with the Area Manager.
4. Oversee operations, complete procedures and ensure best practices.
5. Manage people and customer relations.
6. Control stock and order inventory.
7. Maintain product knowledge and quality control.
8. Ensure health and safety compliance.
9. Engage with purchasing groups.
Qualifications and skills
1. The role is five and a half days a week with Saturdays mandatory.
2. 2-5 years of experience.
3. Autonomy and responsiveness.
4. Passionate and enthusiastic.
5. Sales focused – identifying customer needs, suggesting relevant products or services, and closing sales.
6. The ability to understand and analyze sales figures.
7. Excellent communication and people management skills.
