As a Quantitative Risk Analyst, you will model, appraise, and test valuations of derivatives, calculate and stress test value at risk of global treasury portfolios, and analyze and comment on position variations.
To be successful in this role, you need to:

Ideally, you have also gained some experience or knowledge in at least one of the following areas:
1. Financial risk management (FX, interest rate, and credit risk) and related financial instruments within a global treasury, bank, or similar financial institution.
2. Performing valuations of financial instruments and analyzing changes in valuation with reference to market data movements.
3. Designing and testing internal controls to ensure a robust control environment within a global treasury or bank.
4. Working within a fast-paced, multinational environment with a collaborative mindset.
You demonstrate good judgment, a high level of integrity, trustworthiness, and maturity. You can prioritize and take sound and common-sense decisions. You get energized by contributing to overall success and results through collaboration and are inspired by working together in a multicultural and multinational environment.
You are fluent in English (both spoken and written) and, of course, you share and live the IKEA culture and values.
Your responsibilities
1. Design and implement Key Risk Indicators (KRI) for the different portfolios of a global Treasury including:
1. Reviewing, modeling, and testing valuations of derivatives and other complex financial instruments to ensure robustness of financial instrument valuation and related results.
2. Calculating value at risk (VaR) of the various portfolios and identifying reasons for deviations against approved thresholds and where relevant proposing remedial actions.
2. Design and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure effective monitoring of performance of global treasury including:
1. Reviewing daily and periodic treasury results to ensure observed movements in financial results of Treasury correspond to macroeconomic movements and related movements in market data.
2. Identifying areas for remedial action and potentials for improvement, recommending courses of action to secure continuous improvement and implement such actions.
3. Review the internal control environment of a global treasury ensuring:
1. It is designed effectively. Identify gaps in the design and implement remedial actions to improve the robustness of the control environment.
2. It is operating effectively by testing key controls to ensure that the controls are functioning. Where breaches or exceptions are identified, initiate remediating actions or escalate for approval.
3. Lead the risk, performance, and control environment aspects that pertain to global projects impacting group treasury, as well as securing continuous improvement of KRIs, KPIs, and control environment of group treasury so it remains best in class with reference to its peer group.
