Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Engineer to manage the construction works on site, ensuring they are completed safely, on time and within budget.
Main Responsibilities:
* Manage construction works on site to ensure completion in accordance with program, drawings, specifications and building regulations.
* Assume day-to-day management of site technical and engineering requirements (RFIs, Submittals, Shop Drawings, Design Team Workshops etc).
* E nsure quality control measures are implemented in line with the overall BCAR plan.
* Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors in planning and construction of the project.
* Support the Project Manager/Contracts Manager to ensure works are completed as per programme, on budget and to a high standard.
* Identify information gaps, develop solutions and rectify in conjunction with project and design teams.
* Maintain excellent relationships with the construction project team and subcontractors.
Requirements
* Third level qualification in Engineering or related discipline.
* Knowledge of various types of construction and construction techniques.
* Competent in all aspects of set out, survey & level, temporary works coordination.
* Strong numeracy and report writing skills.
* Ability to formulate plans and execute in line with budget and timeline.
* Ability to make informed decisions and know when to escalate.
* Computer literate and familiar with MS Project or similar scheduling package.
