Position: Sales Manager (Maternity Cover)
Location: 4-Star Hotel, County Wexford
Duration: Fixed-term contract for maternity cover
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Manager to join our team on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue across all hotel departments, fostering relationships with clients, and identifying new opportunities to maximise the hotel’s potential. This role is pivotal to maintaining the hotel's strong market presence and reputation in the hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales and Revenue Generation
o Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets across accommodation, food & beverage, weddings, and conferences.
o Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the hotel’s client base.
2. Client Relationship Management
o Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and travel agencies.
o Act as the primary contact for key accounts, ensuring exceptional service and client satisfaction.
3. Event and Wedding Coordination
o Collaborate with the events team to secure and manage wedding and event bookings.
o Conduct show-arounds and deliver personalised consultations for prospective clients.
4. Marketing and Promotions
o Work closely with the marketing team to create promotional campaigns that align with sales objectives.
o Represent the hotel at trade shows, networking events, and local community functions to enhance visibility.
1. Reporting and Administration
o Monitor and report on sales performance, including forecasts, revenue analysis, and KPIs.
o Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and ensure adherence to GDPR regulations.
Qualifications and Experience
* Proven experience in sales management, ideally within the hospitality industry.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on client relationships.
* Strong organisational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
* Familiarity with hotel management software systems is advantageous.
* A proactive approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
