Position: Jr / Project Quantity Surveyor
Company: Large Developer
Location: Newbridge
Salary: €40,000 - €48,000 per annum basic depending on experience.
Bonus: 5% pension, 25 days A/L
Review in 12 months will include a vehicle.
Our client, a renowned Residential Development company that provides full turnkey solutions, from planning to project delivery, is actively seeking a proactive, outgoing, and motivated Junior Quantity Surveyor with up to 2 years of experience (under/post grad) to join their team.
Ideally, we are looking for a recent graduate (in the last 1-2 years) who wishes to continue their career with the promise of great progression. As a Site Quantity Surveyor for this company, you will gain experience in pre and post-contract QS duties across the residential sector. What You Will Do:
* Work as part of a team to manage and lead the cost aspects of projects.
* Ensure that a comprehensive study has been undertaken of the whole life aspects of the project.
* Manage the selection of the specialist contractors for the project.
* Conduct value engineering.
* Prepare cost planning contract documentation.
* Develop bills of quantities.
* Create schedule of rates specification and works schedules.
* Assist with ensuring sub-contracts are always administered correctly and to the benefit of the project.
* Minimize disputes and settle them amicably for all parties.
* Conduct interim valuations and assess compensation events.
Who You Are:
* You have a Degree in Quantity Surveying or a postgraduate qualification in Quantity Surveying.
* You have at least 1 year of experience.
* You have a proven ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
* You are enthusiastic and results-focused, with the ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
* You possess effective negotiation skills with both internal and external customers.
* You are proficient in administration, writing, numeracy, IT, and MS Office.
* You are dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
* You actively collect customer information and use it to improve services and solutions.
* You manage the experience of customers to ensure positive relationships are established and maintained.
