Job Description:
The position is a 12-month Fixed Term contract, fully on-site with a requirement of a 5-day workweek. The role is based in Co. Meath, necessitating daily commutes from within this location.
A salary range of €35-45K, inclusive of bonus, will be provided along with flexible Determination of Employment (DOE) terms. It is essential that candidates possess EU/EEA/UK citizenship or hold a valid work visa for Ireland, as sponsorship is not considered.
About the Company:
You will have the opportunity to join the IT Department of a multinational organization involved in materials manufacturing and production, working collaboratively within a team of 5-6 IT engineers.
Technical Landscape:
The IT Team delivers Infrastructure, Networking, Desktop, and Applications support, encompassing various projects that underpin both Manufacturing and Corporate functions. The technical landscape comprises Windows servers, Active Directory, M365, VMware & Linux, CISCO & Enterprise Applications such as MS Dynamics 365, Power BI, SAP, and other business and manufacturing software.
Given the on-site requirement of 4-5 days per week, with a maximum of one day remote, this position is best suited for individuals who can commit to regular office attendance. Anyone seeking primarily remote or more hybrid roles will not find this environment suitable.
Your Role:
Your focus will be on IT Software Applications Support, including coordination of releases and version control & IT Support (2nd level) for finance, HR & other corporate enterprise software applications within the IT Department of an international company located in Co. Meath.
Main applications you will be responsible for include corporate HR & Finance Systems such as TMS (Time Management) software, Payroll & SAP Finance, and core Microsoft MS 365 / Office 365 applications. You will support a user base exceeding 500+, concentrating on providing Software Applications Support & IT systems support through:
* Application management (lifecycle, support, integration, etc)
* Owning and coordinating application implementation projects
* Workplace coordination
* Release Management & version control of a variety of Software Applications
* Supporting software applications running on servers
* Configuring Desktop & Laptop computers, Mobile Phones & Tablets
* Installing Patches on servers & network devices
* Assisting End Users with queries and issues at 2nd level escalations
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must possess:
* Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
* At least 2 years of experience in (or as) Software Analyst, Application Support, or IT Technical Support role, supporting enterprise software applications & their integration within Microsoft Windows environments, preferably within an IT Department
* Applications Management & Support experience + workplace support & coordination
* Software Support / Applications & IT Systems Patching, upgrading & support experience
* Software release management and support of some corporate applications such as TMS, Finance software, SAP, CRM, M365, O365 or related applications software
* Service-Desk coordination
* Excellent Communication skills, ability to collaborate with both Technical & business colleagues, as well as being a Team player
