Dillon Engineering Services is seeking a Senior Utilities Engineer to join our client, a leading biopharmaceutical company in Sligo, Ireland. This is a full-time, on-site role requiring candidates to currently reside in Ireland and possess valid work authorization. Sponsorship, work visas, or relocation support are not provided.
About the Role
Reporting to the Engineering Services Manager, the Senior Utilities Engineer will oversee utilities activities, manage a team of two, and lead initiatives to drive process improvements and cost reductions.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Provide engineering support for utilities and control system-related issues, including troubleshooting, optimization, and training.
* Coordinate maintenance shutdowns for critical utility systems.
* Lead capital projects and implement energy-saving plans.
* Develop maintenance programs to ensure compliance and reliability.
* Monitor utility systems to identify and resolve recurring issues.
* Drive Maintenance Excellence Program (MEP) KPIs and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
* Support audits, ensure safety standards, and manage change processes.
* Utilize Maximo for asset and inventory management.
* Review and approve technical documentation, PFDs, and P&IDs.
* Collaborate with vendors and contractors for system improvements and maintenance.
Qualifications:
* Degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related discipline.
* Minimum of 6 years of process engineering experience, including project management and commissioning.
* Proven ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to high standards.
