Overview:
A leading global precision engineering, pharmaceutical company in the manufacturing industry is seeking a talented Electrical Engineer/Industrial Electrician to join their innovative R&D team. The role is crucial in advancing the development of new machinery and technologies that sustain the company’s competitive edge.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assemble, install, and test electrical systems/components.
2. Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues during the development and testing stages.
3. Ensure all electrical work meets safety standards and regulatory compliance.
4. Oversee the commissioning of new machinery at customer sites, ensuring proper installation and functionality of electrical systems.
5. Provide on-site technical support and training to customer personnel.
6. Create and refine detailed electrical schematics and layouts for new machinery using CAD software.
7. Select and integrate appropriate electrical components based on machine specifications.
8. Collaborate closely with mechanical engineers to ensure seamless integration of electrical and mechanical systems.
9. Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and user manuals.
10. Ensure that all designs and installations adhere to EN 60204 standards and other relevant regulations.
11. Maintain thorough and accurate records of electrical designs and modifications.
12. Work with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and timelines.
13. Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
14. Provide regular project updates and address challenges to the R&D Manager.
Qualifications & Skills:
15. A degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
16. Proficient in using CAD software for creating schematics (e.g., Solidworks Electrical, EPLAN).
17. In-depth knowledge of machine safety standards and practices including electrical standards and compliance (e.g. EN 60204)
18. 3-5 years experience in electrical design and practical on-site experience, with a preference for candidates with a background in pharmaceutical/industrial settings.
19. Able to work with PLCs, HMIs, and industrial control systems.
20. Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail, particularly in maintaining accurate technical documentation.
21. Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently.
22. Flexibility to travel
