We are looking for a Project Manager on behalf of and ATG Europe for our location in either Galway, Ireland or Noordwijk, The Netherlands.
Under the lead of the Director of Operations and in coordination with the Technical Program Leader as the responsible Project Executive, the project manager will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and management of space projects of different size and complexity.
Please note, upon selection, the successful candidate will be subject to a general security screening performed by an external provider (further information will be provided at interview stage).
The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to:
* Plan, manage, control, and close-out projects using recognised project management methodology for development projects;
* Engage and collaborate with internal & external stakeholders to obtain, understand, and fulfil requirements to effectively meet project milestones;
* Sufficient understanding of project technical content to support technical manager and lead engineers in detailed planning of project technical scope;
* Monitor project performance using appropriate tools and metrics, delivering on-time, within scope, and within budget;
* Assess, track, and mitigate project risks, issues, and changes through proactive problem-solving and mitigation strategies;
* Lead procurement and supply chain management activities, including liaising with suppliers and developing scope of work which you will then oversee;
* Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and quality requirements throughout the project lifecycle;
* Ensure all Product Assurance and Quality Control processes, procedures and documentation are completed by subcontractors and suppliers;
* Monitor and evaluate contract performance, ensuring all parties adhere to key milestones, deliverables, and financial obligations;
* Support business development and proposal efforts;
* Travel internationally as needed.

* Master’s degree, with a minimum of 3 years of related professional experience. Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree accompanied by at least 5 years of relevant experience;
* Comprehensive understanding of the Space industry, including familiarity with project lifecycles, processes, and industry-specific standards;
* Proficiency in MS Office applications including Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint;
* Ability to manage high workloads while maintaining personal and team health and well-being;
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills;
* Experience in developing Business Cases, including cost/benefit analyses and strategic assessments is an asset;
* Experience of working with ECSS standards and requirements is an asset;
* Holding a recognized project management certification, such as PMP or Prince is an asset;
* Candidates must be eligible to work in the EU;
* Fluency in English, both written and spoken;
* At least a rudimentary sense of humour is appreciated.
