About the post: The Professional & Postgraduate Examinations team, based in St Stephens Green, have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our team. The successful candidate will support the delivery of a comprehensive range of examination support services across a variety of disciplines for healthcare professionals both in Ireland and at international centres on behalf of the Postgraduate Faculties of RCSI, including the Department of Surgical Affairs, Faculty of Dentistry, Irish Institute of Pharmacy and Faculty of Radiologists. You will have a proven ability to deliver in a highly accurate, reliable and timely way with excellent organisational and problem-solving skills. You will have a strong focus on the candidate experience and maintain confidentiality, diplomacy and tact regarding internal and external relations. In order to provide effective and efficient services, the successful candidate will be flexible in terms of hours of work. Given the nature of the examination calendar, the post holder will, from time to time, be required to work additional hours including occasional weekend working during busy. A highlight of this role is the requirement to support the delivery of examinations in our overseas centres. The post holder will be required to travel to exam centres in the Middle East & South East Asia to ensure a consistent delivery of high-quality experience for candidates and examiners. This will allow you to work with local colleagues and experience a variety of cities, cultures and cuisines Job Responsibilities Provide end-to-end administrative support to core professional examinations programmes. Ensure candidate queries are handled accurately and in a timely manner, and that agreed service levels are achieved. Provide administrative support to candidates that enables the successful delivery of all forms of examinations. Respond to queries and deal with these in a professional and courteous manner. Responsible for updating and maintaining records in accordance with regulations. Develop strong working relationships with candidates and internal stakeholders across various campuses and examination centres. Ensure accuracy and consistency of all administrative process. Be flexible and responsive to the needs of staff, candidates and stakeholders. Representing the best interests of RCSI at all times. Undergoing programmes of training and development as may be required from time to time. Performing such other duties as may be required from time to time. Knowledge & Experience - (Essential): Team Player - works collaboratively with others to maximise individual and team effectiveness in order to achieve required service levels. Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to build and sustain internal and external networks and partnerships Customer focused. High level of accuracy and attention to detail - experience of Microsoft Office suite, in particular a high level of proficiency in Excel, is essential. Excellent written, verbal communication skills including capturing metrics and reporting capability. Strong organisational skills and the ability to demonstrate initiative. Manages tasks and time and establishes courses of action to achieve project objectives and deadlines. Learns quickly and responds effectively to changing customer needs and circumstances. Puts forward own ideas and recommendations. A proven track record of solving day-to-day staff, candidate or student issues by quickly identifying possible corrective measures and recommending or selecting the best solution.
