My client, a large manufacturing organization, which is part of a global multi-billion-euro conglomerate, seeks to hire a Mechanical/Electrical Technician for their manufacturing plant.
This is a permanent role, based on site in south Co. Galway, and will suit someone with an Irish Trade.
Working Hours:
1. Week 1 Days (7am-3pm)
2. Week 2 Evenings (3pm-11pm)
3. Week 3 Nights (11pm-7am)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for the completion of assigned Preventative Maintenance work.
2. Lead role in meeting plant electrical/mechanical efficiency KPIs.
3. Key part of the engineering team in providing a top-class service to the running of the plant.
4. Consider the overall Engineering/Maintenance budget when carrying out jobs.
5. Complete assigned maintenance jobs for the shift.
6. Play a leading role in delivering electrical/mechanical efficiency targets for the site.
7. Proactive in determining risks and opportunities regarding breakdowns, root cause analysis, etc.
8. Ensure all tasks are carried out safely and in accordance with company policies and regulations.
9. Provide a keen focus on the overall site requirements from the perspective of production, NPD, trials, etc.
10. Carry out equipment modifications where necessary and bring forward ideas to improve efficiencies and drive performance.
11. Provide line cover on occasion during the production run.
12. Focus on continuous improvement initiatives.
13. Assist in training new members of the Engineering/Maintenance team or upskilling current members.
14. Work as part of project teams where required.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Relevant Trade qualification and/or a relevant Engineering Degree.
2. At least 2 years maintenance experience.
3. Strong overall knowledge of industrial machinery.
4. Knowledgeable in carrying out PM tasks as outlined in the maintenance program.
5. Demonstrated ‘hands-on’ experience with manufacturing equipment from a maintenance perspective.
6. Good knowledge of the production process.
7. Strong technical skills.
8. Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.
9. Ability to proactively identify potential problems, identify solutions, evaluate these, and implement in a timely manner.
10. Ability to work as part of a team.
11. Good interpersonal skills.
12. Good overall PC skills.
