Access to Care Advisor Diagnostic Scheduling - UPMC Aut Even Location: Aut Even Hospital Job type: Permanent Overview of role: The Access to Care Advisor will be part of an integrated team across our UPMC healthcare services that will simplify Access to Care for our patients.
The successful candidate will be expected to operate with agility and diligence to ensure the success of the Access to Care team in the furtherance of our mission of bringing life changing medicine to all the patients and communities for whom we are privileged to serve.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Duties include but are not limited to the following: Work in our Diagnostics Scheduling Team Be responsible for handling all telephone queries relating to Diagnostic Scheduling and dealing with them in a timely and courteous manner.
Be responsible for receipt of and processing of all Healthlink referrals and loading to the hospitals RIS system.
Be responsible for the timely scheduling of all Diagnostic Radiology appointments, including MRI, Ultrasound and CT appointments.
Have excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate these skills with our patients and multidisciplinary team.
Be able to multitask in a demanding role working with a wider team.
Have excellent attention to detail, and ability to use the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
Be responsible for confidentiality of patient information at all times.
Personnel Follow uniform policy reference General Through the course of the working day or week there maybe a requirement to work in other areas of the hospital in line with patient requirements as requested by your line manager/deputy or nurse management.
Staff must produce satisfactory documentary evidence of all training and experience claimed by them, if required to do so by the organisation.

Qualifications & Experience: Business / Administrative Qualification Have previous relevant work experience in a healthcare setting or similar.
Have excellent customer care skills Have excellent ability to communicate effectively with all key stakeholders Have knowledge of all Microsoft packages and experience of a Hospital Administrative System is advantageous.
Have strong organisational skills The ability to work in a fast-paced customer based environment.
