The Operator will be responsible for the overall execution of tasks in Production Technologies in the manufacturing of infant formula in the Macroom Supply Point.
The execution of tasks in a safe, efficient and effective way to a set quality standards are predetermined in the Standard Operating Procedures.
The Process Operative will work in conjunction with the Shift Manager and his/her fellow team colleagues to achieve key business objectives of product quality, order fulfilment, OEE, labour efficiency, health and safety and budget control.
Danone Nutricia Early Life Nutrition is a division of the Danone Group and the Macroom Supply Point is a strategic spray drying factory within the division as it is a major supplier of infant formula to other plants within the network.
Main Responsibilities:
To work in compliance with the standard operating procedures and with the team to achieve production targets/KPI daily.
To work to ensure the highest standards of product quality, integrity and hygiene are achieved and improved daily in line with quality and food safety standards.
Maintaining excellent standards of Good Manufacturing Practice and Good Housekeeping Practice.
Ensuring safe working practices are carried out on all tasks.
Working with the team to optimise performance in terms of output, quality, costs, etc.
Ensuring all work areas and equipment within your control are regularly and properly maintained to deliver optimum performance.
Driving initiatives to maximise contribution and drive improvements in product quality and process efficiencies.
Liaising with Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering and Maintenance to achieve optimum results.
Requirements:
Has the ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a process team in a manual and automated environment.
Logical and methodical approach to work practices and processes Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential Flexible, open and enthusiastic with a genuine passion for learning new skills is a must Mature and stable personality who can manage stressful and challenging environments Strong support for high quality and hygiene standards Continuous standing and /or continuous walking for prolonged periods Requirement to work on a shift rota basis.
Professional Experience: 2 years + experience in Manufacturing (or process/production) role in the food manufacturing industry would be an advantage Knowledge of international Good Manufacturing Practice and Good Housekeeping Practice standards Strong IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft Technologies and previous experience using a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) or other manufacturing systems.
Knowledge of quality and food safety legislation desirable.
