Career Vision Recruiters Seek an Experienced Conference & Banqueting Operations Manager
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Conference & Banqueting Operations Manager to lead our team in this stunning 5* Resort located in County Cork.
As Conference & Banqueting Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Conference & Banqueting Department and report directly to the Director of Food & Beverage.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee and run the daily Conference and Banqueting operations, providing support and guidance to fellow Food & Beverage personnel, while monitoring job performance to ensure a successful experience for our guests.
* Be responsible for the timely setup of all Meeting and Function suites, maintaining high standards of food, beverage, and service specifications.
* Determine appropriate staffing levels, allocations, and Food & Beverage room set-ups.
Key Accountabilities:
* Manage, train, and develop the team, ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
* Communicate information to the kitchen and other supportive departments prior to and during service.
* Inspect and oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of all meeting and function suites.
* Coordinate with Wedding & Events and kitchen teams to ensure the highest level of product delivery.
Organizational Requirements:
* Organize weekly briefings with the Conference and Banqueting team and Beverage Supervisors to discuss forthcoming events and review coverage of past week.
* Evaluate and implement effective strategies to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Suitable candidates must have:
* Extensive experience in wedding and event management.
* Excellent knowledge of Food and Beverage (including wine).
* Excellent Customer Service and Communication Skills, with the ability to influence change.
* Extensive experience in F&B staff training, knowledge, and skills, grooming, customer service, and service etiquette.
* Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate the team to achieve high levels of performance and customer service.
* Attention to detail and a strong desire to exceed all our guests' expectations.
* Excellent personal presentation.
* Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks.
* Excellent communications skills, both oral and written.
* Excellent administration and organizational skills, both oral and written.
* The ability to work as part of a team and lead a team.
