Key Responsibilities
* Advising on regulatory and compliance matters arising in the many businesses in which the Fexco Group operates, particularly in regulated businesses such as bureau de change, payment services, asset finance, and insurance intermediation.
* Supporting Fexco Group entities in meeting their obligations across the regulatory spectrum, including AML/CTF, fitness and probity, minimum competency, outsourcing, and consumer protection.
* Supporting businesses with regulatory correspondence and acting as a point of contact for regulators (Irish and UK) in respect of material regulatory interactions.
* Leading the Fexco Group's horizon scanning work (Irish and UK) by identifying new legal, regulatory, and industry obligations impacting or creating opportunities for Fexco Group.
* Providing expert regulatory advice on contractual arrangements/corporate transactions and updating stakeholders on regulatory matters.
Requirements
* Qualified solicitor or barrister eligible to practice within Ireland.
* Ideal 4 years relevant PQE in Irish and UK financial services regulatory matters, preferably gained in a top-tier law firm or a regulated financial services firm.
* Experience in AML/CTF, Fitness and Probity/Individual Accountability, Outsourcing, and Consumer Protection, along with an understanding of the structure of both Irish/UK domestic and European financial services legislation.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, frequently evolving, and matrixed organization.
