Software QA Engineer - about the role

We are now seeking a talented and experienced Software QA Engineer to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software products.
As a member of our QA Team, you will be involved in all stages of the software lifecycle - from performing investigative tasks before work starts on a new feature, to investigating bugs that managed to sneak their way into a live product. You will be testing our products from both the backend and frontend and will be implementing a mixture of manual and automated testing, with an initial focus on automating regression testing process.
What Responsibilities would you have?
Work on strategic QA initiatives across multiple development projects
Execute comprehensive testing strategies for frontend and backend systems
Design and implement robust automated test suites and end-to-end user flows
Drive continuous improvement of test automation frameworks and methodologies
Develop and maintain detailed test cases for each software release cycle
Perform thorough defect analysis, documentation, and reporting
Build strong collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams
Actively contribute to Agile ceremonies and sprint planning
Establish and maintain best-practice QA documentation
Provide technical mentorship to junior QA engineers
What background should you bring?
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Minimum 3 -5 years of experience in software quality assurance, with expertise in both manual and regression testing from an automation standpoint is preferred.
Advanced knowledge of API testing methodologies and tools
Deep understanding of Agile development practices and QA integration
Expertise in developing comprehensive test strategies aligned with business requirements
Proven ability to maintain excellence under pressure and strict deadlines
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Track record of successful collaboration with diverse technical teams
Strong programming skills in at least one major language (Python preferred)
Hands-on experience with modern CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud-based test automation platforms
Exposure to Datadog (or similar tool) for E2E test automation
Certifications in relevant QA methodologies or tools
Experience with performance testing and security testing
Knowledge of containerisation and microservices architecture

Work Location Assignment:
