Job Summary
This is how you can make a difference at Abbott:
As the Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for leading the strategic direction and execution of hard and soft services for the Abbott Kilkenny manufacturing site. This includes planning, budgeting, and managing facility projects, ensuring compliance, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Main Responsibilities
* Plan future facility activities, budgets, projects, and day-to-day site operations.
* Sourcing and maintaining facilities equipment and services.
* Evaluate and improve site reliability through maintenance, repair, and improvement.
* Identify opportunities for new technology and driving continuous improvement.
* Manage data management methods, procedures, and reports.
* Participate in investigations and implement corrective actions.
* Contribute to SOPs, protocols, specifications, and validation documentation.
* Enhance environmental, health, and safety performance.
* Lead, train, and develop the Facilities team.
Qualifications and Experience
To succeed in this role, you should have:
* 10 years relevant experience in a similar industry.
* Degree qualified in Engineering or a related field.
* Strong background in Facilities Management, preferably in a regulated environment.
* People Management experience.
* Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices and facilities management software/tools.
* Lean six sigma qualification (desirable) green belt or black belt.
* Experience establishing programs.
* Strong problem-solving skills.
* Effective communication and influencing skills.
