Develop your people management and technical accounting experience
This Finance Manager job is the ideal step forward if you have worked in a multinational company on multiple entities having trained in Big 4 originally and you now want to progress into people management in a large €12bn turnover business. Based in Galway but also easily reachable from Mayo, Roscommon and Clare, you will manage a local team of 4 and provide technical accounting oversight to a broader team of up to 10. Reporting to a department head in the U.S., you will be a local finance leader in the Galway office where you can shape and influence the future direction of the company locally.
Accounting and analysis
Within this Finance Manager job, you and your team will have responsibility for gross margin calculations and accounting globally, looking closely at cost of goods sold and advising leadership on notable gross margin variances that they should be aware of. You will ensure strong internal controls and compliance procedures are in place and aid your team in delivering an efficient month-end close. At year-end, you will review the work of your team on statutory accounts for a number of countries and engage with auditors on the same. There is a strong process improvement philosophy across the global finance team, and you will work on projects to optimise processes and systems including the continuing utilisation of all functionality within SAP Hana.

Pay and benefits
You will receive a remuneration package of €75,000-€80,000 including a competitive base salary, health insurance, pension contributions, share options, and hybrid working. You will report into a Head of Accounting based in the U.S., giving you exposure to top-level leadership allowing you to build your reputation within the company while also developing your people management skills as you lead a team.
Your background
To become the Finance Manager, you will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), ideally qualified in Big 4 with subsequent multinational company industry experience.
