About the Role:
The Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSQE) Officer ensures a safe work environment by implementing safety policies and procedures.
EPS Group has an immediate vacancy for a HSQE Officer at our Ballyhaunis branch office.
This role involves varied activities that will be agreed with the HSQE Manager on an ongoing basis.
A highly challenging role providing valuable experience to the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures
* Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits
* Investigate and report on incidents, accidents, and near-misses
* Provide safety training and education to employees
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
* Maintain records of safety inspections, audits, and training sessions
* Collaborate with management to develop emergency response plans
* Attend health, safety, quality, and environmental officer meetings and advise on action plans
* Complete site inductions
* Record and log health, safety, quality, and environmental statistics
* Promote continued improvement in health, safety, quality, and environmental performance
Key Competencies and Skills:
* Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to conduct training sessions and presentations
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* MS Office proficiency
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
* Certification in health and safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH)
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in a health and safety role
* Full Irish Driving Licence
