Newpark Childcare is recruiting a Creche Manager to join Newpark Childcare, Chapel Road, Kinsealy, Co. Dublin.
About the Role:
We are seeking a self-driven, passionate, fun and enthusiastic Creche Manager who takes pride in the work they do, communicates effectively with staff and has excellent knowledge of the Aistear and Siolta curriculum and has in depth knowledge of Child development.

Responsibilities:
* Ensuring the smooth day to day running of the Creche
* Ensuring the utmost safety, welfare and needs of all the children are always met
* Continuously ensuring all records are up to date and organised for compliance checks
* Managing staff, ensuring all new staff and students receive induction training
* Conducting staff appraisals, setting up objectives, and monitoring such objectives
* Working with staff to develop programme plans
* Ensure staff have a professional appearance
* Leading frequent staff meetings and promoting continuous professional development of staff
* Ensuring adequate staff (i.e. staff to child ratio is always maintained)
* Overseeing, developing, and implementing creche policies and procedures
* Conducting monthly fire drills
* Liaising with the chef regarding our menu and related purchases
* Managing parent queries to improve communication
* Working closely with the Creche Directors ensuring the Creche runs efficiently
* Stand in for breaks, holidays and absence
* Responsible for administration duties and online funding and electronic platforms such as PIP, Early Years Hive and ECCE
* Ensuring compliance with Tulsa – the Quality Regulatory Framework, DES & Pobal Inspections
* Managing all enquiries from parents in an efficient and effective manner
* Ensuring that high standards of health, safety & hygiene are maintained and in line with health and safety legislation
* Ensuring all HACCP compliance documents are up to date and liaise with the Creche Supervisor on a continuous basis
* Answering email queries for childcare places and ensuring these places are allocated efficiently
* Other specific responsibilities as assigned by the Creche Director
Person Specification:
* FETAC level 7 or 8 on the National Qualifications Framework
* Knowledge of computer programmes e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, calendar management, proficiency with photocopiers, scanners, editing and proofreading
* Knowledge of Aistear and Siolta curriculum
* At least one to two years’ experience in a managerial role within early childhood education
* Knowledge of underpinning frameworks, curriculums, theory and legislation
* Proven track record as a leader and team player
* A genuine love of children
* To be self-motivated and ability to motivate others
* Excellent organisational skills and effective communicator
* High attention to detail
* Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong ability to cope in a busy environment
* Create and promote strong relationships between staff, children and families
* Ensure full compliance with mandatory courses
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: €17.50 to €21.00 per hour (depending on qualifications and experience)
Expected hours: 40 per week
