The Team
This senior engineering-in-test position is within the Application Security Tools Squad, which is a part of the Application and Infrastructure Security Product Area in the Enterprise Cybersecurity business unit.
Verizon's 2024 Data Breach Investigation Report (containing 10,000+ confirmed data breaches) states that ~70% of breaches involved exploitation of a web application. Fidelity has hundreds of web applications on the Internet that make hundreds of releases a month to production. These applications are the main point of interaction that our 40M+ customers have with Fidelity. It is crucial to Fidelity's reputation, and our customers’ livelihoods, that these applications are secure.
The Application Security Tools Squad is dedicated to delivering cutting-edge tools, libraries, and solutions that support and validate the implementation of security measures by Fidelity's vast application development community, comprising over 10,000 developers. As a team member, you will play a pivotal role in steering decisions, leading deployments, and crafting integrations with our current systems.
Our squad consists of driven and committed individuals based in Galway and Dublin, all collaborating in a dynamic, agile work environment.
The Expertise You Have
1. 8+ years of relevant technical experience and experience in test automation
2. Experience creating, maintaining, and enforcing the overall program test plan with stakeholders based on evolving schedules and timelines.
3. Experience testing vendor applications.
4. Ensuring that all the various kinds of testing like unit, functional, performance, acceptance etc. are being covered.
5. Experience reporting on the test progress, the product quality status and overall test results to initiative stakeholders.
6. Agile/Scrum experience

1. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to collaborate with multiple teams across the organization.
2. Drive a strong quality practice and influence the squad(s) to focus on quality in each sprint.
3. Continuously focus on improving the stability and resiliency of critical business processes and applications
4. Ability to drive the test automation strategy within the team.
5. Firsthand experience with crafting and maintaining testing frameworks with tools like PyUnit, Junit, Karate, Cypress etc.
6. Good understanding of web services testing
7. Data analysis and technical troubleshooting
8. Build efficiencies in testing that increase agility and time to deliver business value.
9. You have a passion for continual learning and are always ready to guide, support and/or mentor other members of your team!

1. Review test strategies with stakeholders and ensure that all the various kinds of testing like unit, functional, performance, acceptance etc. are getting covered.
2. Developing and maintaining automated suites/frameworks of tests to assess product quality and release readiness.
3. Developing an Automation Framework related to application security.
4. Train squads on test management.
5. Conduct manual testing.
