ICE Group are hiring a Programme Manager on behalf of our client in the Further Education and Training Sector – this role will lead the Development of a new Apprenticeship Programme specialised in Immersive Technology.
This role is based in Strandhill, Co. Sligo.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage the new Immersive Technology Apprenticeship, including planning, curricula development with experts, and ensuring adherence to KPIs, budget, and QQI validation.
2. Develop an Immersive Technology hub, including a living lab for practical applications. Provide state-of-the-art resources aligned with industry trends for hands-on skill development.
3. Oversee certified and uncertified training for schools and adult learners using the lab. Promote the programme, engage employers, and recruit nationwide apprentices and mentors.
4. Maintain a national database of stakeholders, support employer approvals, and manage apprentice registrations, programme content, and assessments.
5. Ensure resources and facilities for apprentices, lead programme events, uphold organisational reputation, and comply with Health and Safety standards.
6. Handle additional responsibilities as assigned.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
1. Minimum qualification of a Level 7 in Immersive Technology or a cognate area.
2. Proven work history demonstrating initiative, innovation, and adaptability to change and new challenges.
3. Previous management or supervisory experience, supported by formal development.
4. Strong demonstrable interest in emerging technologies, with advanced knowledge in one or more areas of Immersive Technology.
Desirable Skills and Knowledge:
1. Knowledge of the FET/HE educational landscape, including curriculum design and QQI policies and procedures.
2. Experience in a training or education environment.
3. Strong digital capability and proficiency in immersive technologies.
4. Project management skills, particularly in educational or technological contexts.
This role is 35 Hours per week – Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm.
