BROTHERS OF CHARITY SERVICES IRELAND – WEST REGION POST OF: PERMANENT FULL-TIME RECRUITMENT SPECIALIST (ADMIN GRADE IV) HR DEPARTMENT JOB REF: 76394 A panel may be formed as a result of this process from which subsequent Recruitment Specialist Appointments within the HR Department – West Region will be made over the next 6 months. The Role: To provide an effective recruitment service to the West Region Management and employees.
The Brothers of Charity Services Ireland West Region employ in excess of 1,900 staff providing services to over 2,000 adults and children with an intellectual disability across counties Galway and Roscommon.
Working as part of a dedicated Recruitment Team in which each member supports nominated Service area's the successful candidate will have the ability to manage a busy schedule and be responsible for the whole recruitment cycle ensuring that all applicants have a positive experience in their dealings with the Recruitment Team.
Working Hours: 70 hours per fortnight based on a 5 day Monday to Friday basis.
Contracted hours of work are liable to change between the hours of 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. over 7 days as future service needs require.
Flexibility may be required in order to meet Service demands
Annual Leave: 26 days per annum.
Remuneration: Department of Health Grade IV (Clerical) salary scale (01st October 2024) - €34,256 x 9 increments - €50,202 (Max) per annum.
LSI 1 €51,733 per annum is payable after 3 years on the maximum of the scale.
LSI 2 €53,304 per annum is payable after a further 3 years.
Tenure: This post is permanent, full-time and pensionable.
Travel: The person appointed must provide his/her own car and must furnish an indemnity from Insurers in favour of the employer.
Travelling expenses at the appropriate rate will be paid in respect of travel necessarily performed in the discharge of duty.
Person Specification Education & Training Essential Leaving Certificate – Candidates should have obtained at least Grade C in higher level in 3 subjects Demonstrated success in recruitment with a strong track record of attracting, hiring, and retaining top talent. Experience of working in high volume recruitment. Computer skills – HR IT Systems, Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint. Desirable Qualification in:
Working towards or achieved minimum level 7 qualification in Human Resources on the QQI national Qualification Framework. Experience Essential Strong HR administration in Recruitment & Selection, understanding recruitment processes, HR policies and procedures Experience of preparation reports and documents to tight timelines. Demonstrated success in recruitment within the intellectual disability sector, with a strong track record of sourcing and placing top talent. Desirable Use of ATS – Rezoomo or equivalent. Knowledge Knowledge of the Services provided by the Brothers of Charity Services Ireland and Health Services and an understanding of the importance of a positive recruitment experience. Competencies/Skills Essential Ability to manage deadlines and handle multiple tasks. Capacity to respond to changes adapt and open to change. The ability to analyse and interpret information, develop solutions, and contribute to decisions quickly and accurately. Strive to achieve high standards and commitment to provide a quality service.
