An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and ambitious Fund Accountant to join a dynamic finance team, supporting the finance operations for Ireland’s sovereign development and wealth funds. Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare daily and monthly management and cash reporting.
2. Conduct daily review and analysis of the Fund NAV and reporting provided by the Custodian.
3. Prepare and reconcile accounting journals and track daily cash activity.
4. Collate and review the Custodian month-end reporting and reconciliations.
5. Assist in the administration of loans and in collating fund documentation for tax advisors.
6. Build and foster internal and external relationships.
7. Work on projects and ad-hoc tasks as required.
Key Skills and Requirements:
1. Qualified/Part-Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) desirable. Third level qualification preferably in Finance or Accounting.
2. At least 3 years’ experience in Fund Accounting.
3. Knowledge of Hedge Markets essential; Private Market products desirable.
4. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
5. Excellent interpersonal skills.
6. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
7. Ability to adapt quickly and work independently.
8. Knowledge:
9. Experience in the administration and accounting of various investments.
10. Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
11. Understanding of Journal Entry and the role of Finance in a strong control environment.
