Purpose of the job Responsible for the operational management of building and engineering services for Technical Services and for the management of the site scope, including staff management.HelpdeskHas overall responsibility for ensuring that engineering maintenance, including contract work, is carried out to appropriate standards and specifications.Provides expert specialist and professional building and engineering expertise to other staff, directors and senior management of the organisation including external agencies.Undertakes Authorized Person responsibilities in relation to specified systems.The day to day commercial management of the site management and operation.
Developing, implementing and managing energy policies for the site.
Management operation and implementation of the Permit to Work system and Safe Systems at work.Ensuring services comply in accordance with legislative, and statutory requirements.The management of a team who will ensure the safe operation of all plant and equipment of the site.Commercial management of the operational element of the contract, including management of the Performance Monitoring systems and to ensure Contract and Commercial Compliance.The cost-effective delivery of a Planned Preventative Maintenance Service.The management of a reactive maintenance service during normal operating hours of the site.The management of a reactive maintenance service outside operating hours of the site.To be on call or available for emergencies.Overall responsibility for the management of the Permit to Work System on client site for works in the FM remitThe post holder will provide training to staff in terms of system operation and facilities awareness and will authorise competent persons as appropriate, and manage contractors, consultants, specialists and others.Take responsibility for an efficient and effective maintenance service to the Client, this will include complying with Client and FM HR polices as appropriate.Manage staff morale and well-being.Deliver appropriate training to staff, reviewing work performance and progressLine manager for estates operational staffCarryout PDR staff assessments and identifying areas for improvementMain Assignment Responsibility for all operational and commercial matters, related to the Hard FM Service delivered to the clientResponsible for all services being delivered in fully customer focused manner.Ensure consistent, proactive management in supporting all Health & Safety and Environmental legislation, and providing effective innovative business solutions to operational matters, within agreed funding and resource limits.Maximise the profitability of the contract and manage costs effectivelyMeet monthly and quarterly KPI's / SLA'sRun and own the Tech Services bi weekly/ monthly meetingsSafety ITP's of staff to be rolled out and kept up to dateRCA and Fish bone analysis where neededPromote safetyCo-ordination of the Tech services teamPersonal Specification Experience of working in critical environments ideally with experience in Pharmaceuticals or FMCG or manufacturingExperience in building services and plant engineeringBIFM Level 5 / Engineering DegreeTrouble shootingExperience in maintenance technical issuesExperience in water hygiene regulationsAwareness of Maximo, CMMS or equivalentProven experience of managing a maintenance team and achieving SLA'sExcellent communications both written and verbalNumerate and computer literateHigh level of interpersonal skills with ability to deal with people at all levels and disciplinesFully aware of H&S and general legislative mattersInterested candidates should submit an updated CV.
