Project Engineer (Automation) - Pharmaceuticals - 12-Month Contract
Located on the picturesque west coast of Ireland, our Global pharmaceutical client is looking for Project Engineer to join their state of the art pharmaceutical facility.
Located in the historic province of Connacht neighbouring the pond that is the Atlantic Ocean, breeds a mix of Irish culture and modernisation in the popular seaside town rife with bars, restaurants and water sports.
Responsibilities
1. Safely coordinate the delivery of processing equipment to the site based on planned timelines and scope. Processing equipment would include e.g. autoclaves, LAF units, moulds, extruders, packaging equipment, equipment upgrades, lyophilsers, isolators, containment booths and stopper processing equipment.
2. Coordination of equipment installation and services hook up, working with equipment vendors and engineering personnel.
3. Lead the Project Team or support the Project Manager in Factory Acceptance Testing program.
4. Coordination of all equipment documentation requirements.
5. Commissioning of equipment for validation activities.
6. Preparation of equipment training and maintenance protocols.
7. Report into the Project Manager on project progress and advice/support on key project outcomes
8. Contribute in a team environment on specific technical problem solving forums associated with product manufacture, aseptic fill and Packaging.
9. Deliver Process improvement projects.
10. Work with the relevant Business Unit team leaders to implement improvement opportunities
11. Lead regular Equipment/Facility Project review meetings.
12. Attend the weekly Tier Meetings.
13. Attend monthly Department Meetings
14. Attend monthly 1:1 mtg with supervisor.
Requirements
15. Third level qualification in an Engineering or Science or equivalent discipline/experienceExperience of working within either the medical device or pharmaceutical industry would be an advantage but not necessary.5 years+ site experience in Automation or similar.Project Management experience is preferable but not necessary
16. Interpersonal skills required to operate in a multi-function project team set up.
17. Ability to work within a team and on own initiative to articulate and deliver specific functional requirements for all aspects of the project and work with members of various disciplines and functions across the project.
