Job Description
Reports to: Clinical Director
This is a permanent, full-time position with 37 hours weekly. Part-time hours can be considered.
Work Location: Stocking Lane, Rathfarnham, Dublin 16, Ireland
Mode of Working: On-site
Qualifications Required:
* A recognised dietetic qualification and valid registration with CORU are essential.
* Minimum 1.5 years of post-qualification experience.
* Experience in adult mental health and neurodisability dietetics is required.
* Evidence of postgraduate continuing professional development relevant to a specialism within dietetics is needed.
* The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team is crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
Professional Knowledge
* Clinical knowledge, clinical reasoning skills, and evidence-based practice appropriate to the role.
* An ability to apply specialist knowledge to best practice.
* Evidence of applying assessments and treatments and knowledge of outcomes for adults and their families, particularly those with mental health needs.
* Some experience of practice in clinical audit, quality improvement initiatives, teaching, and research is desirable.
* An understanding of FEDS (Feeding, Eating, Drinking and Swallowing) needs in intellectual disability, neuro and mental health disabilities is necessary.
* Awareness of and sensitivity to the impact of disability throughout the course of the person, their families, and engagement with the service is vital.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and national policies pertaining to the role is required.

* Strong individual and team communication skills.
* Excellent report writing skills with an ability to communicate complex information clearly.
* Excellent IT skills, especially in Microsoft Office.
