Description
* Work with all disciplines and professions within the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital and START Dublin in the initial setup, project development, and management of the START Dublin Phase 1 Cancer Clinical Trials Unit.
* Provide a strategic approach to START services & structure development, embracing continuous quality improvement and change management to achieve organisational objectives.
* Provide strong leadership to support the implementation, launch & continued success of START Dublin.
* The Investigational Drug Section (IDS) Chief Pharmacist works under the direction of the START Clinical Director(s) and has a close relationship with the Nurse lead to provide patient care and clinical operations.
* The IDS Chief Pharmacist functions as a liaison between START & pharmaceutical sponsors for the successful implementation of investigational studies.
* The IDS Chief Pharmacist is responsible for implementing protocols that provide optimal patient care, comply with EU, national & local legal regulations, ensure secure drug storage & ensure drug preparation occurs in line with GMP within the START Dublin facilities.
* Understand the ethical issues involved in human subjects’ research, adhering to all regulations governing research.
