Due to a recent project win, our client is now seeking an Electrical Design Engineer in Dublin.
Responsibilities
* Conduct Root Cause Analysis: When critical elements of a project are missing or delayed, the Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for identifying the underlying issues, whether they involve design flaws, miscommunication, or technical challenges, and working to resolve them.
* Revise and Update Design Plans: If critical components or specifications were overlooked, the engineer must update the design to incorporate missing or revised elements. This involves ensuring the changes align with the project’s goals while maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations.
* Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: The Electrical Design Engineer often collaborates with other teams (e.g., mechanical, civil, project management) to identify gaps, ensure everyone is on the same page, and implement corrective actions quickly to get the project back on track.
* Perform Risk Assessment and Mitigation: In the case of missing critical components, the Electrical Design Engineer must assess the potential risks to the project’s timeline, safety, and functionality. They then develop strategies to mitigate these risks and prevent future issues.
* Ensure Compliance and Quality Assurance: Even when elements are missing, the Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all designs, modifications, and corrective actions meet the relevant standards, codes, and safety regulations to avoid any future compliance issues or safety concerns.
Requirements
Must have 3+ years’ experience in a similar role
Must have experience in large construction projects
