Health, Safety & Risk Manager Location: South Dublin(with flexibility for remote work) Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (35 hours per week) A reputable national non-profit organisation is seeking an experienced Health, Safety &Risk Manager to join their team. This role will be pivotal in managing risk, health and safety, and incident management across the organisation, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and contributing to continuous quality improvement. Key Responsibilities: Provide expert advice and support to senior management and relevant stakeholders on risk and incident management systems. Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of the organisations risk management framework and health & safety systems. Lead and support risk assessments, reporting systems, and the risk register. Develop and deliver training on risk and incident management, ensuring consistent approaches across the organisation. Manage incident reports, monitor performance indicators, and liaise with external bodies (HSE, HIQA, etc.) as necessary. Oversee the development and dissemination of safety statements to meet legal and organisational requirements. Support the preparation of legal claims and documentation in collaboration with the HR team and legal representatives. Essential Qualifications & Experience: A degree in Risk Management, Health & Safety, or a related field, or a professional qualification in health/social care. At least 5 years' experience in a risk management or health & safety role, preferably within the health/social care sector. Experience with incident management, safety improvement, risk assessments, and investigations. Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills. Proven ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders. Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation and compliance standards. Desirable Skills: Experience working in the voluntary/NGO sector. A background in managing risk and safety systems for vulnerable populations, such as those affected by dementia or older persons. Familiarity with performance monitoring, reporting systems, and training delivery. Additional Information: Flexible working arrangements are available, with the position based in South Dublin, and the potential for remote working.
