Ansible & Linux Administrator Job Type:Permanent Location:Letterkenny, Co. Donegal, Ireland (Hybrid-2/3 days onsite per week) The Role Individuals should have experience with building scalable platform components across multi-cloud and on prem. The solutions would be used to enable and scale developers, DevOps, and architects in cloud to use and scale our cloud solutions both securely and natively. It is required that they have mastery experience with Ansible Automation Platform. They must be competent in playbook, role and module development from inception to deployment; adhering to Ansible best practices and design concepts. They must have a deep understanding of console configurations and be able to adapt to organizational configuration practices. They must adhere to SDLC best practices and be sensitive to customer-specific ITIL directives. Key responsibilities: Develop scalable cloud native software application solutions. Design and implement software features to meet desired user experience, functional, and security requirements, coordinating efforts with product owner and development leads. Write and maintain automated unit tests, ensuring test coverage meets agreed upon standards. Perform code reviews and merge requests as needed. Support and mentor others within the team on software engineering best practices Positive contribution to design discussions in software engineering practices Ability to contribute to software best practice discussions Communicate with internal and external stakeholders and technical experts to support project execution. Key Technical skills/knowledge/experience: Sr. level knowledge of Linux OS management RedHat Satellite and/or Foreman repository configuration and management Ansible Automation Platform experience including, but not limited to: Controller management Private Hub management Execution nodes and Instance Groups Execution environments Containerization; Docker, Podman, etc. CI/CD environment experience (i.e. Github Action, Azure DevOps, etc.) Multi-tenant Cloud management experience Multiple cloud hosting provider experience (e.g. GCP, AWS, Azure) Other configuration management platform experience not mentioned (i.e. Puppet) Experience with writing / debugging Terraform / TFE scripts and pipelines Expertise in performance optimization as applied to Configuration Management platforms and the OSes they reside Experience in reading and interpreting log files in a variety of formats Developer competencies in three or more: Python YAML Bash Jinja2 Automation scripting skills Able to understand team members code and adhere to their style, or influence style to establish team-wide consistency Candidates should hold appropriate RTWs for Ireland i.e. Stamp1G, Stamp 4, Irish/British/EU passport.
