Senior Business Analyst Role
This is a challenging opportunity to join our team of Business Analysts and take full responsibility for a certain area within Business Analysis. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will act as a key interface between the technical project team and user communities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage multiple phases of technical areas within a project or multiple small projects of moderate scope and complex assignments.
* Analyzing end-to-end process landscapes and breaking down processes into various levels using BPMN.
* Mapping business processes and implementing technological and process improvements within the context of overall business processes.
* Gathering business requirements from stakeholders and reviewing existing ones to produce detailed business requirement specification documents.
* Running workshops using proven techniques for creating detailed business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
* Assisting and leading team contribution and communication to ensure complete requirement coverage.
* Applying standards and methodologies and providing expertise and support on the use of methods and tools.
* Responsible for needs analysis, task planning, process/data analysis, and modeling and/or logical database design with relational databases.
* Identifying and assessing risks to the success of the project.
* Agreeing on the project approach with stakeholders and preparing realistic plans (including quality, risk, and communications plans).
* Tracking activities against the project schedule and managing stakeholder involvement as appropriate.
* Handling training and building competency within the practice.
Essential Skills:
* A relevant third-level qualification or equivalent work experience.
* Addition course or certification in Business Analysis or process mapping Certification.
Desired Skills:
* Project Management qualification.
* Lean Six Sigma Certification.
* Management qualification or relevant years of experience.
* People management skills - introducing and building ways in which people can learn from each other, encouraging mentoring and the transfer of knowledge by designing and delivering learning interventions.
* Teamwork and emotional intelligence.
* Good self-management – continuous performance is both an objective and a mind-set.
* Has an innovative approach – a bold thinker and doer, matching creativity with vigilance.
Experience:
* 7+ years of Business Analyst experience with process mapping experience is essential.
* Agile and waterfall experience.
* At least 5 years plus experience with mapping out process and process improvement on complex projects with process tool experience.
* Knowledge in business analysis methodologies and has awareness of new and emerging technologies and developments.
* Good applications/technology knowledge, building on specialist domain knowledge.
* Proven ability in assuring project meets quality standards by providing guidance and developing procedures relating to product quality.
* Experience in applying problem-solving methodologies and tools to diagnose and solve operational problems.
* Experience in providing technical guidance to enable others and solving technical queries from junior colleagues.
* Highly proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
* Experience of using recommended project control solutions for planning, scheduling.
