The Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation is seeking a dynamic Web Developer and Designer to join its growing Communications team.
What does the role entail?
1. Creative Web Development, Design and Maintenance
Under the direction of the Head of Communications and with input from relevant departments, the successful candidate will develop, create and action updates across the organisation’s websites (www.jackandjill.ie and www.incognito.ie), and provide proactive solutions to ensure better integration and optimisation across our digital platforms; ensure alignment with our brand, strategy and standards; continuously test and monitor the efficiency, compliance and security; manage website domain and hosting registration; providing analysis and updates as required and ultimately, ensure an improved user experience.
2. Shopify
Under the direction of our Head of Retail, design and manage our online retail presence via Shopify.
3. Digital Marketing
Generate and execute email marketing campaigns via our CRM system, collaborating with external partners where necessary.
4. Creative Production
Design and produce graphics as required. Work in collaboration with external partners, as required and with input from the head of relevant departments.
5. SEO, Measurement & Evaluation
Manage all search engine optimization (SEO) activities such as content strategy, link building and keyword strategy to increase rankings on all major search networks, expanding our online presence and gaining more website traffic, donations, and sales. Measure and analyse results to ensure website effectiveness and a return on investment for the organisation.
What experience or skills do I need?
* Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in web development and design on WordPress.
* Knowledge/understanding of the Not-for-Profit sector beneficial.
* Degree or equivalent in Web Design and Development.
* Exemplary creative content development skills – graphics, infographics etc.
* Proficient in the use of content management systems such as WordPress and email marketing systems.
* Excellent knowledge of website coding and security measures.
* Proficient in Customer Relationship Management tools i.e. MS SuperOffice (CRM) – training will be offered, where required.
* Experience in working with Shopify.
* Excellent knowledge of image editing software i.e. Canva Pro, Photoshop, Adobe Suite.
* Knowledge of video editing software would be an advantage.
* Experience with social media management tools such as Sprout Social, or similar content scheduling platforms would be an advantage. Training will be offered, where required.
* Excellent verbal, written and digital communication skills.
* Good time management and ability to work in a fast-paced creative environment, with an emphasis on results.
* Full clean driver’s licence and access to own car.
