Position SummaryTemporary Position - Maternity Leave Cover This position will provide dedicated HR consultation, generalist, and recruiting support to our internal customers at STERIS.
The primary responsibilities include providing HR advice and guidance to managers, fostering positive employee relations, recruiting candidates, performance management, compensation and benefits leadership training, and other HR projects to support the business.
Supporting the Senior HR Manager in corporate-led initiatives and day-to-day HR activities.
Duties1.
Recruiting
a.
Sources, screens, and recruits qualified candidates for all level positions, up to and including Director level positions.
b.
Review resumes, conduct phone screens, and evaluate applications for job fit.
c.
Creates and implements process improvements, selection tools, and best practices to improve the recruitment process.
d.
Works closely with Hiring Managers and provides input and guidance as they make hiring decisions.
e.
Facilitates the job requisition process to improve efficiency in time to fill.
f.
Builds and maintains a pipeline of high potential candidates.
g.
Provide leadership in recruiting-related special assignments.
h.
Create standard and ad hoc reports as needed to demonstrate recruiting effectiveness.

Employee Relations/Performance Management
a.
Provides managers with consultation and support with Performance Management activities.
b.
Responsible for resolving employee relations issues.
c.
Applies and interprets policies and procedures to employment issues.
d.
Provides guidance to managers regarding disciplinary actions.
e.
Performs exit interviews and analyze trends.

Support on HR Project teams / Reporting
a.
Provide support to the corporate HR team.
b.
Conduct HR-related research and assist with HR strategic plan preparation.
c.
Serve as project lead or participant, and champion employee-related initiatives.

Learning and Development
a.
Conduct internal training for New Hire Orientation, interviewing skills, performance management, and other HR-related topics.
Education DegreeBachelor's DegreeRequired Experience5-7 years recruitment experience in a professional, fast-paced environment.5-7 years of employee relations experience.3 years leading training initiatives as well as HR Projects.Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook.A high attention to detail is required for this role.The Ideal candidate must be CIPD qualified or studying for this qualification.STERIS strives to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
