QEHS Advisor - Manufacturing Facility
Our client is a leading mechanical contractor with a manufacturing facility in Carlow.
The QEHS Advisor will provide professional support and advice to the Senior Management Team on Occupational Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality matters.
Responsibilities:
* Provide day-to-day Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality functions on site
* Support Senior Management Team on Occupational Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality matters
* Assist employees and contractors with compliance with relevant legislation, client standards, and contractual agreements
* Develop, promote, and monitor HSEQ culture across all activities
* Obtain permits for works within the facility, ensuring EHS and Quality expectations are considered and complied with
* Ensure products are designed and manufactured according to company Quality systems, Safety standards, and Customer requirements
* Conduct quality control function, including oversight of incoming inspections, process controls/audits
* Prepare and update documentation in line with quality and regulatory guidelines
* Lead quality initiatives, such as providing technical support and process improvements programs
* Implement applicable ISO standards
* Communicate with Group EHS and Group Quality departments for clear and detailed implementation by the team
* Analyze problems and follow through with solutions
* Handle customer complaints, ensuring relevant documents and traceability are in place
* Prepare and review documentation to ensure required records and reports are complete, accurate, and submitted per established procedures
* Identify and coordinate construction EHS training to meet regulatory requirements
* Ensure adherence to ISO14001/ISO45001/ISO9001 standards
* Drive implementation of programs and initiatives to foster a strong safety culture
Requirements:
* Academic qualification in Safety (min. NEBOSH Diploma) and/or Quality Systems
* Experience in EHS Management Systems in a busy manufacturing environment
* Experience in Quality Management Systems in a busy manufacturing environment
* Strong organizational skills
* Technical capability
* Team player with ability to work on own initiative
* Detail-orientated with ability to operate to strict deadlines
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
