Job Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Used Car Sales Manager to lead our vibrant sales team and enhance the performance of our used car department.
Key Responsibilities
* Sales Performance Management: Oversee and optimize the used car sales function through effective sales process management, ensuring maximum profitability for the dealership.
* Appraisal and Valuation Management: Lead the appraisal and valuation processes ensuring to attract new business while meeting objectives.
* Stock Procurement: Utilize diverse sourcing methods to directly purchase used car stock for both BMW/MINI franchises and our non-franchise used car program.
* Compliance Oversight: Ensure adherence to the BMW/MINI Approved Used Car Program and manage standards to meet manufacturer audit requirements.
* Pricing Strategy: Control retail pricing and stock profile parameters, swiftly identifying gaps and directing purchasing efforts to capitalize on opportunities.
* Pre-sale Preparation Management: Oversee pre-sale preparation functions to ensure quality standards are met and internal service level agreements (SLAs) are achieved.
* Trade Disposal Maximization: Enhance trade disposal opportunities through various channels, including internal resources and auctions.
* Accurate Record Keeping: Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of customer information, sales activities, vehicle documentation, and other relevant data.
* Sales Campaign Planning: Participate in the development of sales campaigns and promotions to maximize sales potential.
* CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE EXCELLENCE: Deliver a first-class service and exceptional customer experience.
* Deputy Management: Act as deputy for department managers as needed.
Requirements
* A minimum of 5 years in a managerial role within the used car market.
* Extensive knowledge of the Irish used car market, including pricing strategies, market trends, and customer preferences.
* Proven success in achieving sales targets and managing high-performing sales teams.
* Strong understanding of finance and insurance (F&I) processes in used car sales.
* Proficiency with CRM systems and inventory management software.
* Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
* Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
* High level of customer service orientation.
* Analytical mindset with robust problem-solving skills.
* Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
