Title: Purchasing / Logistics Coordinator
Location: Dublin 15, Onsite
Position Objective:
Our client is seeking an experienced Purchasing/Logistics Coordinator to coordinate its procurement activities for its UK and Ireland operations. This role is critical in ensuring the company maintains a competitive supply chain, secures high-quality products, and achieves cost efficiencies. The ideal candidate will have a background in purchasing, particularly dealing with suppliers in Asia.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor supplier lead times, and product quality, ensuring compliance with company standards.
* Obtain quotes, and place orders for materials or products based on the companys needs.
* Track stock levels and help ensure that the right amount of products or materials are available to meet business demands without overstocking.
* Work with logistics partners to schedule and track shipments, ensuring timely deliveries and escalating any issues that may arise.
* Communicate with suppliers to confirm orders, update on delivery schedules.
* Maintain accurate records of purchases, inventory, and shipments.
* Assist in resolving any shipping delays, damaged goods, or product shortages.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience in a purchasing, procurement, or supply chain role.
* Industry experience in industrial electrical distribution, components, or a related sector is not required but highly desirable.
