Due to this success and in order to support future growth, they seek to appoint a Group Head of People & Culture as a key leader and advisor in their business.
The Head of People & Culture is a new position, created to provide expert leadership and oversight on the development and delivery of the Groups People Strategy.
The successful candidate will be accountable for a team providing effective, professional and people-centric HR services and guidance - this includes the design and day-to-day implementation of relevant HR principles, programmes and strategic initiatives to ensure they recruit, retain and promote their highly skilled and motivated people and that they build a talent pipeline for the future.
The Head of People & Culture will work collaboratively with a diverse group of managers and their teams to further develop an organisational culture with behaviours and ways of working that demonstrate clear commitment to the Groups values, mission and vision.
This will involve regular engagement with senior colleagues through guidance on strategic people management and development matters and through championing innovation and transformation to challenge or support where appropriate.
The role holder will drive a culture of forward HR planning to build an increasingly flexible, responsive and innovative workforce, investing in people development and identifying opportunities to further stretch, recognise and reward their greatest resource.
Applicants should possess the following skills and experience: Significant experience of leading a high performing HR function in a large ideally multi-site organisation.
Proven experience in developing and delivering a transformational people strategy aligned to organisational strategy.
Strong understanding of HR fundamentals i.e.
payroll processes, employment law, best practice in recruitment, learning & development initiatives, people data management and reporting and employee relations.
Proven experience of building and maintaining relationships with senior stakeholders and identifying opportunities to drive and influence change.
Ability to balance a strategic approach with hands-on delivery.
Known to lead and motivate a positive and inclusive team ethos withhigh ethical standards and integrity.
Postgraduate degree in human resources, business studies or a related discipline (or equivalent work experience).
CIPD membership at Chartered (ideally Fellow) level or equivalent work experience.
This appointment would suit a strategic Head of HR with experience of leading and developing people through positive change and transformation.
