We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading consultancy clients! They are currently seeking a skilled Life and Pension Business Analyst to join our clients team.
Job Responsibilities/Objectives
1. Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering:
- Engage with stakeholders to capture and analyse business requirements for life and pension-related systems.
- Document functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, and use cases.
- Conduct workshops, interviews, and meetings to gather detailed specifications.
2. System Analysis & Design:
- Analyse and model business processes to identify opportunities for system and process improvements.
- Support the design of system enhancements and define functional specifications for new features or changes.
3. System Integration & Testing:
- Coordinate and support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) to ensure systems meet business needs.
- Identify and resolve issues during system testing, ensuring seamless integration between systems like Percana and other business-critical platforms.
4. Project Management Support:
- Assist with project planning, risk management, and time-line tracking for life and pension system projects.
- Support the project manager in ensuring project goals are achieved and systems are delivered on time and within budget.
5. Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure effective communication and expectation management.
- Provide updates to senior management and stakeholders on project progress and outcomes.
6. Process Improvement:
- Identify and recommend process improvements to optimise business operations and customer service delivery within the life and pension business.
7. Training & Support:
- Provide training and support to business users on new system functionalities and enhancements.
- Assist in the creation of user manuals and documentation for system users.
Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:
1. Experience:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the Life and Pension industry.
- Familiarity with Percana or similar life and pensions administration systems (eg, DST, Open GI, or similar platforms).
- Strong experience in business requirements gathering, functional specification writing, and stakeholder management.
2. Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Expertise in process modelling and systems analysis tools.
- Ability to translate complex business needs into clear, concise technical requirements.
- Proficiency in tools like Microsoft Office, JIRA, and Confluence.
- Understanding of life and pension products, such as endowment policies, annuities, group pensions, and life insurance.
Desirable Skills/Experience
Although not essential, the following skills are desired by the client:
1. Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, IT, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (eg, Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or equivalent) would be advantageous.
