Turndown Assistant
We are currently recruiting for a Turndown Assistant who will work within our Housekeeping Department. As a Turndown Assistant, you will be part of an intimate team focused on delivering cleaning and guest requests to a high standard. You will be responsible for the following duties and must be flexible to complete other tasks set out by the Executive Housekeeper and Duty Managers.
Duties:
You will be required to maintain our high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in our bedrooms, bathrooms and public areas
To check and clean toilets in public areas regularly, replenishing any tissues or toilet stocks as needed, wiping down the sinks and ensuring the floor is clean and dry, and bins are emptied
You are required to work as part of a team in a very busy working environment
Ensuring that you provide each guest with the highest levels of housekeeping service in accordance with our 5 star expectations
To provide a full service to vacated bedrooms and replenish stayover bedrooms in accordance with the hotel standards
To provide Turn Down Service to assigned rooms daily
To be respectful when entering a guests room, taking pride and being confident to complete the below tasks:
To check and clean bathrooms, replacing towels, tissues and bathroom amenities where necessary.
To wipe down the bath, shower, sink and ensure floor is clean and bins are emptied
To hang any clothes in wardrobe or fold them neatly. Arrange any shoes.
To wash and polish any dirty glasses.
To replace water bottles and replenish Tea and Coffee facilities.
To Restock Linen trollies
To understand all standards of performance and delivery within the housekeeping department
To ensure cleaning checklists are adhered to
To have strong knowledge of all areas of the hotel
To abide by a flexible work schedule
To provide support where necessary with regard to the various departments of the Hotel
Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment
Requirements:
Must be able to work flexible hours
Able to organize situations in a busy work environment
Enjoy challenging tasks, and able to act in a positive manner
Be consistent in providing a high quality service
Act as a team player at all times
Ability to multi task in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary
Strong attention to detail with a determination to grow and progress within the Housekeeping department
Excellent proficiency of the English language, both verbal and written, is essential
