About the roleAn opportunity has arisen to join the Banking Operations team as an associate. The team are responsible for the daily banking operations for Davy. Responsibilities include electronic banking, cash management, bank reconciliation, deposit account management & compliance with the Client Asset Requirements (CAR). In the role, the successful candidate will be responsible for: Payment preparation, including payments directly out to clients, pension property related payments and third-party payments. Completion of daily automated EFT and cheque payment reports. Managing daily cash deposit files and consulting with the deposit reconciliations team. Processing of currency exchange transactions on client accounts. Drive change in the team by assisting senior managers in innovation projects and system development. Provide support to other members of the team and cover team members as required. Operate in line with risk and compliance frameworks, policies and procedures associated with the role. Acquire a strong working knowledge of Third-Party Payment rules as set out by compliance and be able to make these on a case-by-case basis. Communicate with key stakeholders, and prioritise urgent tasks as required. RequirementsAbout youWe are looking for somebody who has the following background and skills: Relevant third level degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline. Banking experience an advantage but not essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Critical thinking skills, accuracy, and attention to detail. Experience of successfully working to tight deadlines. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, flexible outlook and a high level of initiative and enthusiasm.
