We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team in Kells, Meath. This role is critical in supporting the General Manager in the daily operations and ensuring a high standard of service and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Management:
1. Assist in the day-to-day management of the store.
2. Ensure smooth and efficient operations, maintaining high standards of service.
3. Oversee inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and stocktaking.
2. Team Leadership:
1. Support the recruitment, training, and development of staff.
2. Lead, motivate, and manage a team to deliver excellent customer service.
3. Schedule staff shifts and manage timekeeping.
3. Customer Service:
1. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally.
2. Ensure the team provides outstanding customer service at all times.
3. Implement and maintain customer service standards.
4. Sales and Marketing:
1. Assist in developing and implementing sales strategies to meet targets.
2. Support marketing initiatives and promotional activities.
3. Monitor sales performance and provide reports to the General Manager.
5. Financial Management:
1. Assist in budget preparation and financial planning.
2. Monitor and control expenses within the budget.
3. Ensure accurate cash handling and banking procedures.
6. Health and Safety:
1. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
2. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
3. Promote a safe working environment for staff and customers.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Previous experience in a similar role within the retail or hospitality industry.
2. Strong leadership and team management skills.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
5. Proficient in MS Office and retail management software.
6. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
