The role will be based from one of our office in either Belfast or Dublin
Key Responsibilities:
1. Overseeing junior consultants’ noise and vibration surveys, data processing and analysis, computational noise modelling.
2. Project management, business development and preparation of reports and tenders connected with noise and vibration assessments
3. Work on a wide range of projects, taking responsibility for specific aspects of projects and undertaking contract administration on small to medium sized projects
4. Work on a wide range of projects involving travel around Ireland and potentially overseas.
5. The work will also involve some night-time and weekend tasks (for which time off in lieu would be accrued)
6. Undertake site surveys and supervise works
7. Full driving licence and access to as car is essential
Person Specification:
8. AMIOA or MIOA essential
9. Degree in Acoustics or related subject or other relevant experience/qualification (such as IoA Diploma)
10. Good IT and organisation skills are essential
11. Competent technical report writing skills
12. Experience in environmental noise / renewable sector will be beneficial
13. Willing to take part in a variety of projects and areas of work, and keen to further your career and expertise in a supportive multi-disciplinary practice
14. Comfortable with using Excel to undertake data processing tasks (Desirable)
15. Numerate, as noise and vibration work will require regular use of mathematical formulae
16. Computer literate and be able to quickly adapt to using bespoke software packages
17. Experience with both building and environmental acoustics would be desirable
18. Experience of sound level and vibration meters would be beneficial
19. Computer modelling experience would be beneficial
