This role will facilitate coordination and execution of the management team and play a key role in supporting commercial growth and regulatory compliance.What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):Partner with the CB Ireland Country Director to agree on the strategy for Ireland.Oversee the efficient measurement and execution of the strategy for Ireland.Partner with operations head to develop Coinbase Ireland’s Business Resilience and new product review.Continually assess and develop the firm’s governance frameworks.Work closely with Legal, Compliance, and Risk on major regulatory/policy efforts.Drive efficient execution across EMEA e-money and crypto operations.Provide cross-border/pan European support.Develop meaningful and insightful MIS to support oversight and data-driven decision making.Scan for current trends, competitors, and developments in the market to identify new or emerging risks and opportunities.Establish strong working relationships with global counterparts to support product growth in EMEA.What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):Proven experience as a head of function or similar in regulated institutions.Good understanding of regulated financial services operations (Compliance, Finance, Risk, etc.).Solid understanding of the Ireland and European regulated financial services landscape.Great verbal and written communication skills in English.Ability to structure complex strategy problems.Comfortable interacting with stakeholders at all levels.Analytical ability to derive meaningful insights for decision making.Keen interest in crypto/blockchain.Self-starter excited about growing a business in a fast-developing sector.Pragmatic and solutions-oriented.Nice to haves:Previous experience in a multinational/US-headquartered business.Experience with retail-oriented payments, trading, or brokerage platforms.Previous work experience or personal interest in crypto/blockchain.Commitment to Equal OpportunityCoinbase is committed to diversity in its workforce and is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
