HSE Dental Service provides oral health care, and emergency and routine dental services to the eligible population of children under 16 years (including preschool, primary school, post-primary children) and eligible adults with special needs. Routine and emergency services are provided to children and adults with special healthcare needs, children in the care of the HSE and patients of any facility maintained by the HSE. Future developments for the service will include enhanced care for certain vulnerable groups. These services include emergency and routine dental care, oral health promotion, dental care to special needs groups, and public dental health services.A preventative evidence-based approach is the fundamental and distinctive character of the Public Dental Service.ResponsibilitiesThe post holder will work under the guidance of the Principal Dental Surgeon and will be responsible for:Coordination of the public dental service.Supervision of all grades of Dental Surgeons, Dental Hygienists, Dental Nurses, and administrative staff across North Tipperary.
