Account Assistant (Part-Time) Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Account Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis.
Key Responsibilities:
* Accounts Payable: Process and manage incoming invoices, maintaining accurate records of all transactions.
* Accounts Receivable: Monitor customer payments and ensure timely follow-up on overdue accounts.
* Day-to-Day Accounts: Assist with general bookkeeping duties, including data entry, updating financial records, and ensuring all accounts are up to date.
* Reconciliation: Assist with monthly bank and supplier reconciliations, ensuring accuracy of financial records.
* Filing and Documentation: Maintain organized filing systems for financial documents, ensuring all records are easily accessible and compliant with company policies.
* Other Duties: Provide general administrative support to the accounts team as needed and assist with other ad hoc financial tasks as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Previous experience in an accounts payable and receivable role is essential.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
* Experience with accounting software is a plus.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
Working Hours & Benefits:
* Part-time position (minimum of 20 hours per week), 9 am to 1 pm Monday to Friday.
