Payroll Administrator
Are you an experienced Payroll Administrator/ Specialist who is now looking for a new challenge? Our client, a major player in the green energy and clean tech sector, is undergoing a period of significant expansion. They have engaged exclusively with us in Cpl to recruit a talented, energetic, and ambitious Payroll Administrator/ Specialist to join the Finance Team in Limerick.
The Role:
1. Supporting the Payroll Manager in the production of weekly and monthly payrolls for the UK and Ireland
2. Assisting in the resolution of day-to-day employee payroll queries in a professional manner
3. Maintaining accurate payroll records and continually striving to improve processes and procedures
4. Adhering to SOX compliance
5. Assisting with external agencies in relation to payroll matters including Auditors, CSO, Dept. of Social and Family Affairs, Revenue Commissioners, and HMRC
6. Assisting the payroll manager with year-end reporting requirements
7. Completing statutory documents, employee forms, and responding to letter requests – maintenance of back-up records
8. Preparing and processing statutory deductions
9. Maintaining employee confidence and protecting payroll operations by keeping information confidential
10. Maintaining payroll operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes
11. Assisting in the creation of payroll reports for management as required
12. Supporting with new starts, transfers, leavers documentation as informed by HR
13. Working closely with HR and finance department to align payroll processes with organisational needs
14. Assisting with maintaining the integrity and accuracy of payroll data, as well as the retention of related records
15. Assisting with documentation of process manuals for payroll procedures
16. Assisting with the implementation of new payroll software packages
17. Completing regular audits to ensure compliance
18. Maintaining and implementing Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental Systems meeting the needs of ISO 45001, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 and any subsequent or related standards.
Skills & Experience that we need:
1. IPASS payroll qualifications
2. 2 - 5 years’ payroll experience in a similar sized company
3. UK payroll experience – desirable but not necessary
4. Basic understanding of HR policies and Irish Payroll – essential
5. Familiarity with Midland HR Payroll System – desirable but not necessary
6. Ability to work on own initiative with excellent organisational and administrative skills
7. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
8. High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality is required
The Offer:
This is a permanent onsite role based in Limerick, with a base salary, depending on the candidate’s experience, expected to be in the €40K - €50K range per annum, plus benefits.
