Ability West provides a wide range of high-quality services to children and adults with intellectual disabilities and autism across Galway City and County.
Services provided are day, residential, short breaks, community supports, rehabilitative training and multi-disciplinary supports.

Each person is supported and valued within an environment which promotes their overall autonomy, health and wellbeing and enables them to reach their potential. Role: We are looking for a qualified nurse who will be flexible and adapt to the needs of the individuals we support.

If successful you will be required to work in a team environment with a person-centred philosophy, participate in person-centred planning, individual reviews, team meetings, attend and participate in training courses, and actively contribute to team based performance management.
Essential Criteria: Possession of a nursing or recognised nursing qualification e.g.
R.N.I.D., R.G.N, S.R.N., R.P.N., including current registration with An Bord Altranais agus Cnaimhseachais na hEireann.
Experience of working with people with an intellectual disability.
Full current driving license with access to your own vehicle is desirable.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team Flexibility and the capacity to embrace change in response to the identified needs of people we support.
