We are looking for a Tech Support Engineer (TSE) to independently respond to issues where first-line product support has been unable to fix problems in malfunctioning equipment. TSEs work on more difficult problems requiring in-depth system knowledge and understanding of operating principles. TSEs exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for achieving results. If a depth of technical understanding is required, a TSE consults with other engineering teams and hosts meetings to determine the best course of action. Lastly, TSEs document troubleshooting processes and technical findings to generate service reports.
We will consider new graduates provided you demonstrate a strong hands-on competence and a desire to succeed.
YOUR MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Successful applicants will be formally trained at one of our award-winning training centers in California, USA or Singapore or Taiwan.
2. Domestic and international travel up to 50% of the time as you will travel to customer sites to resolve urgent escalations.
3. Acting as a technical escalation point for other support engineers, becoming an expert on our product.
4. Be the face of our company, ensuring customer satisfaction with our service, solving complex issues with tools at customer sites.
5. Act as Technical Support representative for new product development.
6. Complete high-quality reports and documentation.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
1. An experienced engineer working with Semiconductor technologies.
2. Ability to understand and tackle problems in software, electronics, optics, mechanical, electro-mechanical, and/or electro-optical systems to address on-site customer problems.
3. Experience working on electronic systems within the semiconductor industry is a plus.
4. Outstanding interpersonal communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Fluent in English and French language is a must.
6. Full driver’s license.
