Must be available to work shift, a rolling 2 Days 2 Night pattern with 4 days off.
1.0 Job Summary:
Performs inspection procedures on products and assemblies to ensure Quality specifications are met at pre-ship and final stages of production.
2.0 Key Responsibilities and End Results:
1. Conduct first-off inspections for production start-ups.
2. Conduct patrol inspections verifying attribute and variable data.
3. Record data in log book/inspection files and SPC software.
4. Label defective material accordingly to ensure positive identification.
5. Retain defective samples for daily production review.
6. Support rework/re-screen activities to ensure compliance to requirements and sign off relevant documentation effectively.
7. Support the amendment of product specific documentation as part of the continuous improvement process.
8. Support QE’s on new product introduction.
9. Conduct OBA’s (Out of the Box Audits) when appropriate.
10. Conduct label reconciliation requirements.
11. Conduct any additional activities from a Quality perspective as deemed necessary by the primary Quality Engineer/Team Leader.
12. Support all company safety and quality programs and initiatives.
13. Ensure ongoing compliance with GMP in all practices, recording of events and processes.
14. Ensure compliance with all learnings from all GMP training events.
15. Other responsibilities may be assigned from time to time as needed, based on the evolution of the company and the requirements of the department/position.
3.0 Job Specifications:
The minimum education and experience required to perform this job competently:
1. Leaving Certificate.
2. Basic quality control concept understanding (desirable: level of service within a Quality control role), administration and record control experience.
3. Understanding of Metrology desirable.
